Proportions 3:5. Three equal horizontal bands, yellow on top, green in the middle, red at the bottom. The colours come from traditional textiles. The separate state flag shows the Vytis (a white armoured knight) on red.

The flag is honoured on 16 February, 11 March and 6 July.
The Vytis state flag flies over the parliament and presidential palace.
Common conventions
