Construction details
Proportions: 1:2 (6 × 3 grid). Three equal horizontal bands: aquamarine, gold, aquamarine — each 1 unit tall. At the hoist, a black equilateral triangle: its base spans the full height of the flag (3) and its two equal sides (length 3) form 60° angles, the apex pointing to the centre. Adopted on 10 July 1973, independence day (specifications standardised on 1 March 2006). The design combines elements from several entries in a national contest (no single winner). Official colours (PMS, 2006) — Aquamarine: PMS 3145. Gold: PMS 123. Black: PMS Standard Black.
