Proportions: 9:14. Three equal horizontal bands: sky blue (celeste), white, sky blue. Centred on the white band is the Sun of May: a golden sun with a human face and 32 rays, alternating 16 straight and 16 wavy. The Sun of May reproduces the engraving on the first national coin (1813).
