Proportions: 7:10. Vertical tricolour of blue (hoist), yellow and red, the central yellow band being slightly wider: the band ratio is 8:9:8. The national coat of arms is centred on the yellow band. The arms show four quarters — mitre and crosier of the Bishop of Urgell, three pales of the Count of Foix, four pales of Aragon-Catalonia, two cows of Béarn — beneath the motto « Virtus Unita Fortior ».
